About Progress Medical University – Gyumri, Armenia

Established in 1990, Gyumri Progress University is one of the oldest and most respected institutions of higher education in the Republic of Armenia. With over three decades of academic excellence, the university offers both Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programs across various disciplines.

The MD (General Medicine) program spans 6 years (5 years of academic study + 1-year clinical internship), equipping students with comprehensive medical knowledge and hands-on clinical experience. Graduates receive a State Degree, officially recognized and accredited by the Government of the Republic of Armenia, enabling them to practice medicine and pursue advanced qualifications within Armenia and abroad.

Eligibility Criteria for Admission (MD Program)

To be eligible for the MD (General Medicine) program, applicants must:

Have completed 10+2 (Senior Secondary Education) with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB)

Have scored a minimum of 50% aggregate marks (or 45% for reserved categories) from a recognized educational board
